Recently, we ordered samples from a company that manufactures LED lamps - we tested their lighting fixtures today. We were primarily looking for spotlights that are RGB-CCT type and can be driven by KNX dimmer actuators instead of their own controllers. RGB-CCT means that the lamp can produce both colored and adjustable color temperature light.

The packaging of the lamps is quite basic, but we have no complaints about the quality of the fixtures:

We conducted the testing with an Enertex 1174-REG actuator:

The device, equipped with an OLED screen, provides a wealth of diagnostic information - for example, a less knowledgeable electrician can immediately see that the lamp connected is not burnt out but simply not receiving (enough) power:

A color transition sequence that can be triggered with a single command can be set up in these 1174 actuators in no time:
We powered the test subjects with these DIN rail-mounted 12 and 24 V DC power supplies:

Switching the power supply was expedited by Phoenix Contact’s PTFIX distribution blocks with quick-release spring connections.
We only spent a few hours experimenting with the new lighting fixtures, but we feel we have finally found high-quality LED light sources that can be controlled natively with KNX regulation.
